Donations
The leaders of this organization wanted to provide an opportunity for youth across this area to learn how to handle firearms safely, enjoy the sport of competitive action shooting, work as a team and to learn about Jesus Christ along the way through interaction with positive adult role models and youth peers. As with any sport there are costs associated and so we wanted to keep costs for the individual team member as low as possible, considering that at minimum there would be the need for ammunition, personal protective gear, travel to practice and competitions.
Lone Star Shooter Team Members pay an initial registration fee of $200 and they also pay for ammunition and registration for competitions and the travel associated. What they do not pay for is:
- Range Fees at Trinity Armory
- Training and range equipment like targets, radios, timers, tables, chairs, paint, etc.
- NRA Basic Pistol Training
- Use of Club-owned pistols and rifles
- Instructor or Range Safety Office time
The value of these above benefits is approximately $1,700 per shooter, per year and is covered through the $200 registration and generous donations from those who support this effort.
